Oakdene Consultants has been formed to provide, business consultancy, I.T. services and accountancy to small and medium sized businesses. The company was formed by Geoff Houghton who incorporated it after two years as a sole practitioner after leaving a Unilever subsidiary after 18 years.

Our aim is to give a very high level of service to a small number of clients. This will ensure that clients get our full attention and we are able to answer their questions quickly and comprehensively. We are frustrated by the lack of training, systems and application we witness in smaller businesses and by them 'not having enough time' to go that step further and develop issues that work on the business rather than in it. It's up to us to ensure for our clients that the job is completed to their and our satisfaction, having dealt with ALL the issues identified.

We believe that there is a knowledge gap in many small and medium sized enterprises. They cannot afford full-time financial, administration or systems expertise but would really benefit and value someone answering their day-to-day problems. We can fill this gap by becoming a virtual team member.

Oakdene Consultants is looking to grow over the next few years to form a network of qualified consultants within its business, offering business advisory, I.T. services and accountancy.
